(3 Minutes Read) It was messy and painful as fights will be, but there’s a fight on for America and we need a fighter that can think on their feet and be aggressive when necessary. It was particularly difficult for Trump last night because he was not wrestling just a “ flesh and blood” Biden against whom he ran the risk of appearing overly aggressive with a feeble older man, but with the dark “principalities and powers” of the Marxist Democrats who were perhaps literally in Biden’s ear last night.

Given Biden’s demonstrated reliance on teleprompters and his fumbling and gaffes the few times he has had to speak spontaneously, Trump was no doubt rightly aggravated that Biden refused to have his ears checked for some type of communications device allowing his handlers to feed him answer. It is telling that the Democrats refused to verify there was no such device when they had so much to gain by disproving Trump’s claim as a wild suggestion. Now there is a high degree of suspicion about it.

The criticisms of Trump are that he was overly aggressive with the “flesh and blood” Biden by interrupting him and causing him to stumble. Even some Republicans are saying that strategically Trump should not have interrupted him when Biden started to fumble his words.

However, Trump is a very smart fighter and while it seemed sometimes he should have let Biden keep talking when he appeared to be stumbling, it was perhaps best to take a punch with the truth whenever possible. At this point exposing Biden the liar is probably more important than Biden the fumbler, the latter already being clear to everyone.

The interruptions by Trump landed quite a few punches that did throw Biden off causing him to stumble and speak “off the cuff”.  If you believe the object sticking out of Biden’s shirt cuff was a communications device with his handlers (hotly denied by the Democrats), some of Trump’s interruptions literally required Biden to speak “off the cuff” as his handlers scrambled on the other end of the device. For example:

• Biden effectively said Antifa doesn’t exist. The world knows along with the FBI that not only does Antifa exist, it is being declared a terrorist organization.  
• Biden couldn’t say he was for “law and order” without adding “with justice” implying law enforcement wasn’t fundamentally just.
• Biden said he was against the Green New Deal when Biden’s website says the Green New Deal is foundational for Biden.

Almost every time Trump landed a punch of truth in response to an obvious Biden lie, Chris Wallace acted like a partisan referee effectively running over to revive Biden with a water bottle of supportive statements or give him a mini break by arguing with Trump.

That’s not how it’s supposed to work. If Biden can’t take a hard fight with Trump, he won’t be able to take the even harder fight with America’s enemies. Biden needs to get out of the ring.
